Airplane carrying Minister makes emergency landing
A single-engine Cessna aircraft run by Flex Air Charters carrying the Minister for Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Betty Achan Ogwaro and other officials was forced to make an emergency landing at the Juba International Airport after one of its wings developed a technical snag. The plane was on way to Aweil in Northern Bahr el Ghazal and had 11 passengers onboard. The snag happened 25 minutes after the takeoff.
The Minister and the Ministry officials are on way to a rice scheme funded by the German Agency for International Development (GiZ) and the European Union (EU).
Back in April 2012, a Feeder Airlines commercial flight has crashed at Wau airstrip, Western Bahr el Ghazal in which there are no casualties.
