The Republic of South Sudan was visited by a Pakistani delegation led by Ambassador Seema Naqvi. Minister for Information and Broadcasting Hon Dr Barnaba Marial Benjamin welcomed the delegation. The Pakistan government has offered its support to South Sudan for the development and improvement in the areas of information, engineering, medicine, education and textile manufacturing.

Seema Naqvi said that the Pakistan government is committed to help South Sudan take their first steps into their independence. She said that various training programmes in diverse fields would be provided in South Sudan to bring a mutually-beneficial friendship.
