South Sudan's new capital Ramciel
The Council of Ministers of South Sudan has decided to relocate the capital city of the Republic of South Sudan from Juba to Ramicel. The Council of Ministers met for the second time on September 2, under the leadership of President Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit.
The cabinet felt that the relocation of capital will help resolve several problems. The issue of whether the capital has to be relocated from Juba has been haunting the development of South Sudan since 2005. The Council has directed the minister for Housing and Physical Planning to initiate the process of building the new capital in Ramciel, in Lakes State.
